Viper's Guide to Practice Sales at the High Speed Alliance Mastermind Event

Last week, Jonathan Guise, VP of Dental Operations, represented Viper at the High Speed Alliance Mastermind Event at the beautiful Henderson Beach Resort & Spa in Destin, Florida. The quarterly event brought together dental practice owners from across the country for a conference with in-person and digital events.

Jonathan joined more than 100 mixed specialty dental practice owners and finance and investment professionals from around the U.S. for a weekend of education and networking. He spoke on a panel and represented Viper as host for a Halloween cocktail reception.

Talking Practice Sale Inspiration

Dr. Forrest Bryant, CEO of High Speed Alliance, invited Viper to participate in a panel about practice sales. To close out the day’s talks, Jonathan spoke alongside seven practicing doctors who have sold their practices and discussed their inspirations for a sale.

As doctors discussed their various motivations, Jonathan was able to provide insight into the sale process and speak to the DSO's point of view. Among their main motivations, the panelists cited the ability to sell their practices for a premium, mitigate the risk of 100% ownership, and have a planned exit strategy for the peace of mind that comes from this.

What’s more, four of the doctors on the panel were past Viper clients who testified to the great value Viper brought to the sale process. As an advisor, Viper was able to secure LOIs for the doctors and guide them through the transition process, negotiating on their behalf to secure the best deal possible.

Networking and cocktails

On the heels of the panel came the day’s pre-dinner reception, hosted by Viper. Some doctors who brought their families for a weekend on the beach came to the cocktail reception with their families, dressed in Halloween costumes. The cocktail event was a great opportunity for doctors to network with each other after a day of educational panels and approach Jonathan with questions about partnering with a DSO. All in all, the event was a success for High Speed Alliance and Viper.
